We’re starting the countdown around here. It’s hard to believe that next time this month, I’ll be back on the air!
It’s an understatement, really, to say that we’re excited about launching Janet Mefferd Today! And as we gear up for Sept. 14, there is a big flurry of activity behind the scenes these days as the best show staff in Christian radio is working hard to help me get ready. We’re adding stations, reviewing materials, fielding guests, shoring up the technical side and a whole lot more — all so we’ll be ready when you tune in!
I can always tell when I’m excited about an upcoming event, because I always start waking up earlier. And right now, I’m up and at ’em every day at about 4 a.m. — not optimal, not my preference, but you definitely can get a lot done when you’re up three hours before the rest of the family! In fact, the first verse that crossed my mind when I woke up this morning (at 3:56 a.m., mind you) was Isaiah 26:3: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” A perfect reminder at the perfect time! How thankful I am for the Lord’s peace, His provision, His grace and His love as we prepare to connect with you once again.
One more thing before I run off to more work on the show (and maybe a catnap — ha!): Since we’ve been fielding so many inquiries on the subject, I’ll just let you know right here that YES, there will be podcasts! We’ll be posting those daily here at my website once the show premieres. And we’ll be making more announcements about how you can hear Janet Mefferd Today in just a few weeks!
