Ecclesiastes, chapter 3, reminds us: “There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every matter under heaven … A time to be silent and a time to speak.”
In my last 12 years as a nationally syndicated Christian radio host, I have spoken a lot! Now, as we head into 2022, I believe the time is right for me to step back from my microphone and proceed to the next thing the Lord has for me to do. As you may have heard me announce last week on my show, the final broadcast of Janet Mefferd Today aired on Dec. 31.
The greatest blessing I’ve ever received is my salvation through and fellowship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. But I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you that I’ve been the recipient of so many of God’s additional blessings because of you.
I want to thank the owners and managers of all the wonderful Christian radio stations who have aired Janet Mefferd Today for more than six years. I want to thank all of our great sponsors, as well, and the ministries who have made the program possible. And, of course, thank you to all my fantastic listeners. You have tuned in, you have financially supported the ministries dear to my heart with overwhelming generosity, you’ve prayed for me, and you’ve sent so many encouraging emails. I read as many as I could, and though I couldn’t respond to all of them, thank you from the bottom of my heart! You have no idea how many times your kind emails kept me going. And also to those who sometimes disagreed with me, thank you, too. Iron sharpens iron!
Many people have asked me what I plan to do next. I have a number of options, which I’m sorting through. In the meantime, I am trying to get some much-needed rest, while also attending to other projects and tasks that have had to sit on the back burner for far too long.
I will continue to blog here (more frequently, I hope!), and we will continue to keep our “Contact” tab active. Of course, we’ll also keep you posted on my future plans. So stay tuned!
Thank you again for listening to and supporting Janet Mefferd Today. My prayer for you is that no matter what happens in 2022 and beyond, you will always stay faithful to Jesus Christ, remembering that He is always faithful to you. And don’t forget: He is coming soon — so be ready!
“I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.” Rev. 3:11
